Further Restoration Work on Crowle Moors

Further Restoration Work on Crowle Moors

Following on from the successful restoration work undertaken on the North Lincolnshire Council owned land at Crowle in 2012, Phase 2 of these works has now finished.

This involved:

  • the construction of contour peat bunds;
  • the installation of plastic pile dams;
  • tree felling.

These works wereundertaken in partnership with the Council and the Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust and will ensure that this part Crowle Moors begins to recover from the peat-winning activities that have taken place in the past.
