Following on from the successful restoration work undertaken on
the North Lincolnshire Council
owned land at Crowle in 2012, Phase 2 of
these works has now finished.
This involved:
- the construction of contour peat bunds;
- the installation of plastic pile dams;
- tree felling.
These works wereundertaken in partnership with the Council and
the Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust
and will ensure that this part Crowle Moors begins to recover
from the peat-winning activities that have taken place in the
past.
