Work is currently underway on part of Crowle Moors to ascertain
the archaeological heritage of the area in advance of restoration
work planned for the area next month. This has involved
fieldwalking the site and the unearthing of old documents and
records relating to the the moors over the centuries.
It is anticipated that, over time, this work will be rolled out
over the rest of the moors so that the archaeological and landscape
heritage of the moors can be better understood.
